It gave me an idea to do up a big set I would like to pick up a pair of older but not expensive speakers, missed out on a pair of pioneer cs780 recently.

You can pick them up from 50, the Brooklands special edition comes in at 100.

These speakers if you can find them seem to fall around the 250 - 300 on fleebay and when I have tested well known speaker like GS200 and R500 plus Reference 203 against them and always come back to ES22 as they are just better in every way, its some testament to their quality as none of the speakers Ive ever tried to replace them with including the ones mentioned above have as much musical prowess.

The pioneer cs780 look like the kind of thing Im looking for, so something like them or the few chunky speakers mentioned by Ugg10 above.
